HAND BUILDING POTTERY WORKSHOP

On 27th January 2024, Saturday we conducted Pottery Workshop in collaboration with Swetha Aldo from Studio Aroha.

Organising a Pottery workshop had been on our minds for a while and what a wonderful thing it was to be able to collaborate with Studio Aroha to make this come into fruition.
The slow, mindful craft of pottery being a perfect medium to find grounding, self-expression and collective artistic experience.

Swetha was able to guide us so patiently in our journey to create a meaningful piece.
We were deeply immersed in our experience of creating with our hands. We explored techniques including pinching and coiling. The gorgeous and cool pieces of art that our participants crafted left us truly mind blown.

During the short break in between the workshop, we had Paneer Sandwich, Chicken Sandwich and Grape juice from a home baker, Sabeethatha. Additionally, there was also Chicken and Veg Momos from Pinky Didi. And of course, how is an event really complete without a delicious cake from Suja Aunty!
